What a busy and exciting couple of weeks the children have had in Year 1.
This week began with the Santa fun run and the X-Factor. It was lovely to see some of our own Year 1 talented children rise to the occasion and perform in front of the whole school.
Big congratulations to Charlotte, George, Liam and Niall for representing Year 1 in their very first Key Stage 1 ‘Spelling Bee’. They were all amazing and we were very proud of them.
The children had fun at the Christmas party with a special visit from Father Christmas. A big thank you to all parents who arranged and provided the party food to make this a memorable occasion for the children.
On behalf of Mrs Chadwick, Mrs Tall and myself, I would like to say a big thank you for all cards, flowers and gifts that you so kindly gave to us. We were overwhelmed by your generosity. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Here are some photos from the past week.

Enjoy the holidays with your families and see you all in 2019!

Wow, what a week! The children were absolute superstars today when they worked together with Year 2 to perform ‘The Inn-Keepers’. It was great to see so many proud parents and family members join our celebration.
Here are some photos of our fabulous angels, tour guide, street sellers, sheep, camels and twinkles…

This week we also said ‘Goodbye’ to James and his family. We shall miss him very much but wish them all the very best as they venture for their exciting adventure in New Zealand.
Next week, there will be X-Factor auditions held on Monday for the Year 1 children. If your child has a particular talent that they would like to share with others such as, dancing, singing, telling jokes or a sporting skill then please help them to prepare for this over the weekend.
Hope to see you tomorrow at the Christmas Fair!
